Luka double teamed

Recent teams who have beaten us have figured how to stop Luka - Double team him. And once the ball is out of his hands, either we're out of clock, we make bad plays or we miss shots. 

If we're gonna win, RC needs to figure out how to let them pay for their double team on Luka. Otherwise, we're gonna be one and done in the playoffs.

Yup, we need to learn how to get a big into the mid post and allow Luka toss the ball in to him.  Then if the defense collapses at all on him, he can get the ball to an open shooter or cutter.

Zero chance for a successful Luka drive with Dwight and 2-3 defenders in the paint. Should have put Maxi in to space the floor and give Luka room to drive. Will be glad when KP is back.

Obviously the secondary ballhandler is a problem, but the other is: who on this team is FAST? Dorian is not a good contested 3 pt shooter. That´s why he denied the shot. He´s also pretty bad from midrange/floaters, therefore he would not take the shot. BUT if he had the Usain Bolt gear he would have been at the rim before any help arrives. That´s one of our biggest weaknesses and why the double team works so well. We have nobody that can just punish the rotations with a super quick attack. The other team always has time to recover and hustle back to contest shots.

Honestly who is the fastest Maverick? I think it might be Powell.

His teammates have a 4vs3 situation every single time. They have to take advantage. A playmaking big or wing that can set the screen would really help. Best example would be Draymond Green. His decision making in those situations was flawless.

That mean someone gonna be open all the time, but we don't even have a consistent shooter in starting unit right now. That is why I really want Bogdanovic on this team.

Actually the way to stop Luka is to pay the refs to let them foul him to death with no call each game.

Less pick and roll and this team instantly becomes A LOT worse imo. 

Luka is a pnr savant. The rest of the team isn’t very good. Everything we get is because how amazing Luka is in the pnr. 

Need another playmaker to be considered a contender type team.

I have no problem with the pick and roll most of the game, but the last 5 minutes we need to mix it up. We are allowing them to bring the double team to Luka without being able to punish them. Spread the floor the last 5 minutes and use set plays with less p and r. We can't become worse because we are atrocious in clutch situations. What we are trying isn't working. No offence but our offense is something you run in youth basketball when you have a star.

You WANT Luka to be double teamed (at least you don't mind it), that is why you want to run so many pick and rolls. Luka's gravitational energy to draw defenders is what should allow his teammates and team to be successful.

I think one solution to this is to pass the ball quickly and some cut to the baskets like marion did before. If we get easy dunks from their double team, they’d stop their double team for sure.

Play in the post at the end of the game, thus doubling will lead to easier baskets and better looks, look is very good in the low post and he is a great passer. And he would have a mismatch most of the time.

Someone else needs to bring up the ball and have Luka operate in the half court. That's my solution. Well, at least in the 4th quarter. That's where I'm seeing most of the double teams.

But this team needs to learn NOT to panic first. They should be able to anticipate it.

Have a shooter pick for Luka, his man doubles, he's wide open. Don't have a big setting the pick.
