Sorry to clutter up the home page, but it’s the off season, so at least something to comment on, I guess…
Not exactly ideal, but I’ll be flying in for my first mavs game ever in late Jan to see the wizards…
Anyway, want to get some decent tickets, preferable by the tunnel. Which section should I be looking at?
Thanks for any replies!

I had season tickets in section 101 for years and enjoyed it. But if its going to be your only game, I recommend splurging on sections 105-108 OR 117-120. You get a great view of the court and you're right in the action.
Those sections are pricey though. They are premium seats. Think like 250-500 bucks a ticket depending on the game and usually even higher after resellers+ticket fees.
If you're trying to be right where players come out of the tunnel, the players tunnel is between sections 102 and 104. Avoid section 103 as it sits literally on top of the tunnel. Your best bet is rows A-C Section 104 or Row D/E section 102 and to get seats as close to the tunnel on the map as possible. Games against bottom dwellers there are seats usually available there. Doors open 2 hours before tip off (sometimes they let you in even earlier), and your best bet is being there as early as you can to catch guys when they come out for their pre-game warmup.
But another thing to keep in mind, those sections: 102, 111, 116, and 123 are in the corner of the court so to speak and offer a unique angle that might not be tolerable for some while actually watching the game.
If the lower bowl is a bit too expensive (and that's really understandable given how expensive season tickets have gotten under the new ownership), I do recommend sections 208, 209, 210, or 217, 218, and 219.
Seats usually up here can be half the price of the equivalent lower bowl section but still offer a fantastic view of the entire court and jumbotron. Only complaint is that you are pretty far from the action. I enjoy sitting here sometimes because it does remind me of watching the game on the TV broadcast.
Parking is also something to keep in mind. Lexus garage I think is now $30? Pretty insane. Most people park at Market Center DART and take the train in so they can avoid all the traffic after the game. I usually bite the bullet and park in the garage because my season tickets came with parking. I don't mind waiting in the traffic as I've come to learn its apart of the experience.
You can also get autographs waiting at the players garage exit. Luka usually ALWAYS stops and signs autographs there. Every time I've been there and seen him drive out he stops for a couple of minutes and signs. There is always a crowd though so good luck fighting through that.
Keep the questions coming!

TRE is a good option if you are coming in from the DFW area. Departs 20 minutes after the game is over, so not much time for autographs or shopping.

So I'll be going to my first Mavs game, and sitting in section 117, 13 rows behind the bench! Can't wait!

Those will be great seats. I hope you have a blast, and I hope the Mavs win, because if they don’t we can never allow you to attend another game in person.

maybe shouldn't go here but I had a friend reach out to me saying that Cuban is making political statements and Dallas fans are boycotting season tickets and renewals are down 34%. Has anyone heard this or is this fringe right wing talking points? I haven't really paid much attention to Cuban but find it unlikely renewals are lagging because of his comments.

I saw 1 tweet say those words verbatim but it had zero sources/links
Basically unsubstantiated.
Plus how could they attribute Cuban's political statements directly causing a dip in renewals by 34%? There could be so many other reasons such as price hikes by the new owners.

Where do you all buy tickets? Anybody got a good ticket broker?
Pessimism doesn’t make you smart, just pessimistic.
