My prediction:  the Mavs will complete the tank against San Antonio and hold the 10th position. Then, the 11th place team will win the lottery costing the Mavs the highest rated prospect since LBJ and their pick all together. That would be an epic and fitting climax to the most disastrous season in the history of Metroplex sports.

This is so ridiculous what with NYK tampering and the Portland tank sitting Dame. But the Mavs front office and coach are so colossally stupid that they can't even tank 2 games properly without getting themselves investigated. 

If they just kept quiet and did the same thing, nothing would happen. I am so tired of a FO that is literally dumber than the fans on message boards.

Honestly can anyone remember such a public meltdown by any NBA franchise in the last 25 years? If we are honest Cuban basically combined the worst behaviours of Sterling + Sarver + Maloofs and somehow he´s still allowed to own an NBA team, while everybody else was forced out.

That is a really interesting question. I doubt he is that stupid to not know the unwritten rules and it was quite obvious the team is ok with the tank, so he didn't need to protect the players. So:
Option A: Kidd knows he is getting fired and this is a partin f... off petty move by him to Cuban?
Option B: Mavs organization lead by Cuban openly taunting the league because they think this makes them look cool?

Maybe Kidd wants out and is trying his best to get fired to get some paid time off at Cuban’s expense.
