Goran understands bringing back the championship team for a title defense better than Mark Cuban does.

2 questions.

Is cancar healed from his foot fracture?

Is it unusual to have that many Lukas in one spot?

1. Yes. Cancar wasn't playing the first 2 games for world cup, but he is in the roster for the next week friendly games tournament.

2. Luka is pretty common name in Slovenia, but we will see how many Luka's will be at the final roster.

PS: I'm waiting to Luka Scuka to take that leap in the next season. He have Nba potential and if he can take that leap next season i won't be surprised if he will be in the next draft. Similar to Gregor Glas.

Will these games be broadcasted in the US?  Mavs have a few players participating.  You have to be careful in making declarations when players play with their national teams.  Completely different from the nba.  I do have an interest in Dorsey with Greece.  How much a factor will he be?  Is he a core player for them?  Does he play off the Greek Freak?  That could give us a small hint how he would play off Luka.  I know he is only a two way player but I have to believe the Mavs view him more than a two way guy.  It wouldn’t surprise me if he played only a handful of G league games.

Is it folly to be optimistic about Tyler Dorsey being an actual contributor this season?? He looks good!

Looks like Frank is out of the tournament due to injury.  Not sure what the injury is.

The European games are much different than NBA games but watching how Luka and Goran play together it just seems strange how little interest we had.   Maybe the Mavs will be proven right and Goran may not be capable of playing big minutes at his age.   I just find it difficult he gets a lot of minutes in Chicago.    With no big move coming, it just feels like Goran could have a been a nice short term place holder move that gives us insurance.

If the Mavs had signed Dragic, he could have barely gotten off the bench. The Mavs had no real use for him except as a deep backup. They are buried in talent, apparently. Allllllllllrigggghhhhhty then.

Thing is, the Mavs did want him; they just did a crappy job on selling him on the job opening. Hey, if you're going to be so phenomenally stupid about what his role should be on the team, at least lie about it so you can get him in here.

Indeed.

Mavs didn't need to lie -- they just needed to be better salesmen in presenting the opportunity. Terrible negotiating skills.

'We KNOW there's a huge need for another guy to be our 3rd playmaker to complement Luka and SD, because we lost JB. That left a huge hole, and no one else on the roster who can do those things. We badly need a player with your skills, who can fill a lot of minutes supporting both of them and play a key role for us. Please come play on our team with Luka, and help us win a title.'

Yeah, but Dragic says they said something different. Presuming his take is accurate, they didn't see him as being good enough for that role, or perhaps they really are too dumb to understand what a terrible predicament JB's departure put them in. Point is, there are many explanations for why the Mavs sold him so poorly, but every single one of them comes back to Cuban and Nico being as dumb as dirt.
