He’s not proven he can contribute to winning basketball. He should probably grab a minimum with a winner like Miami or GSW where he can show consistency in a winning situation. It probably means a defined role off the bench for 15-20 minutes rather than 35 minutes and 20 points on a terrible team. It is the only way he’ll get back to making money again. BTW, they compared his situation to that of Kelly Oubre (“speaking of empty stats”).
Oubre seems like a really good comp from a winning basketball on court BBIQ standpoint.
