I agree it is a talent. I think of Dwight Powell as an example. He leaves it out on the court every time he steps out there. He is a great teammate too. Sure, he is limited. But he was effective during the regular season, but pretty useless during the playoffs. Regular season Dwight was a positive, I believe.
I would use Dwight as an example for every young player in the league. When you are a non-star player, I think being reliable, playing hard all the time, being a good teammate, adaptable, etc can be the difference of playing in the league for a year vs playing for several years and getting a second contract.
