If you are a journeyman, sure. If you have options you want to play with a highly efficient star who doesn’t need the ball in his hands all the time. Neither of those apply to Luka.
It is like when the Big 3 in Miami came about. They decided to sit down and have a discussion on how the ball was going to be shared. RW despite his gaudy assists has never been someone most like to play with. Same with Bron. OTOH Curry is someone most players would like to play with because he is efficient and willing to play off the ball too. Same with Kd.
Luka needs to slim down, play more defense , move more without the ball and be more efficient. He is a great player but the way he plays today is not something that would draw me to play with the Mavs if I had other options. And most of the Robin or Batman types always have options.
