Tim Sr is doing what any Dad would do, stand up for his son. I ain't mad at him even if  there are some half truths. He said J Kidd didn't talk to THJ and explain his role going forward. I can see that.

Yeah well he's actively hurting his son by doing that. Helicopter parent and all. Timmy is a big boy. 31 years old. He can handle not being played in a game while getting paid 17 million dollars a year.

Wow...that came fast. I was super involved with the season last year and really enjoyed the run over the second half with the unexpectant finals appearance. Then we jumped right into the draft and free agency. I didn't realize until there was a break how worn out I was with the Mavs. It was draining. Fun but draining. I was nice not to think of the Mavs for a month or so. I think I will slowly get back into it. I will try not to get too worked up when they lose 4 of 5 in November. I think my Mavs watching/reading compared to other tv watching last year was the Mavs by a knockout.

Timmy is perhaps the dumbest former athlete, current athlete parent.

And honestly, doesn’t really belong in the NBA Hall of Fame. Missed a TON of games. His peak was really good, but not epic or anything and didn’t last very long. I feel like he was the beneficiary of some very good PR campaign.

I think he's right on the line of being considered HOF worthy. Those run TMC teams took the NBA by storm and he had an iconic move that many have replicated.

He was the lead guy on some very strong Heat teams as well. If he had a ring it'd really help his case. But 5x All-star, 5-time All NBA (1x 1st, 3x 2nd, 1x 3rd) is nothing to slouch about.

I had no idea his achievements were that great.

To me he is Shawn Kemp tier. All NBA at peak, very short peak. But I mean Michael Cooper just got in, so hard to complain too much about Tim Sr. being there.

Sr. has always been quick to state his opinion about things, which sometimes has gotten him in trouble. But reporters love him, because he doesn’t mealy mouth or beat around the bush.

I seem to remember an anti-gay comment he made many years ago, which I thought would certainly keep him out of the HOF. But people forget, and his game was really strong…

I am really interested to see what PJ Washington for a full season. Is he by nature a streaky shooter? If he can develop into a 36-38% three point shooter, he will be one of the top non all star two way players in the league. If he stays at 31-32%, he is a good player but maybe someone the team may eventually look to upgrade.

I liked everything about his game last year. We got better defense than was advertised. We got some toughness. We got some size with skill. We got a guy who is still pretty young and should be entering his prime.

The streaky shooting was the only drawback. When he was consistent, he was awesome here. It is tough to jump to a new team mid year. I hope him figuring out where he will get shots and with added reps that percentage comes up a few points.

That's honestly such a good tier to place him in.

Kemp at his peak was a force. Blake Griffin esque with a way more polished post game. He was never a lead guy where if you had him on the team you were an automatic contender but if he was on your team, odds are you were pretty good.

Klay Thompson said Naji Marshall stood out from today’s practice.

“Naji played incredible. The guy was making floaters, pull-ups. I thought he played really well, I was impressed with Naji. He scored a couple of times on me. His jumper was fluid and his midrange was nice.”
