AROUND the NBA: ATL Jumps from #10 to #1 in Lotto| Pistons Mull Firing GM

First half was brutal. He was pushing AD around. Had 6 off reb in the first quarter. Scored at will. In the second half they forced him to play a more perimeter orientated game.

No doubt. You're correct. Ham made the adjustment, they cut the lead to three late before losing.  They have to feel good about going into game 2 as such. It wouldn't surprise me if they start Hachimura  next game.

There's two sides to that. The Lakers made a great adjustment and almost won, but didn't. Now the Nuggets have time to counter that game plan. It will be interesting to see who can make the best adjustments going into game two. To me that was more important for the Lakers to steal that game before the Nuggets had time to game plan for this. In the end, it was just game one and a lot of basketball left to play.

Nuggets have to find a role for Gordon. Lakers identified him as the weak link on offense. A bad shooter in a spot up role allows AD to shadow Jokic vs Hachimura.

Agreed they will have to figure that out.

Jimmy Butler is amazing. Doesn't get enough credit as one of the league's best players.

Rui is playing like he wants Davis Bertans money.

Don´t think the Lakers can win the "Jokic on" minutes but maybe it´s enough to keep it close. Ignoring Bruce Brown the Nuggets bench has been a disaster.

You did. Murray has been the difference he's killing the Laker guards. 31 the 1st game, 37 the 2nd. Shows how important he was to Denver when he missed the season with knee surgery.  He's back now.

LeBron hasn't been stellar these last two games. Missed shots, layups, dunks, and turnovers, it may be attributed to the left ankle he rolled twice during the game.

Murray and Jokic have been a joy to watch. Porter Jr is not enough a part of their team to have such a contract.

It was so obvious. I don´t get how teams haven´t figured this out yet. First Markkanen, now Hachimura. If you can dominate on a one-man team on the team-oriented smaller court, physical tougher FIBA basketball, then there is a player in there that will likely come out in the NBA, too. I honestly think the Lakers might only retain Hachimura. Vanderbilt, Beasley and Russell might be trade bait.

I'm curious to see how good Myers is under this new CBA. He can't just keep throwing money at the team given these new restrictions.

Sure, good teams have to spend. But Warriors have basically relied on that TPMLE for key role players or even just to bolster a bench that should've been bereft of talent.

Heat are so tough. I feel like a fool for doubting their future late in the season. Players, coaching and front office deserve a ton of credit for getting the max out of every single player.

Miami finally gave up on not trying to hurt Lowry’s feelings and started bringing him off the bench. Something Phoenix hasn’t figured out with CP3 yet.
