1 GS is already in a position that they can't bring back DiVincenzo if he opts out because of the new second apron rule. 

2 As I mentioned yesterday, there are more ways to benefit from Kyrie to Houston than just opening cap space.  He could generate a massive TPE and that could be a way for GS to move Green for value.  If there is any team that should be interested in the Mav's 2027 pick, it would be the post Curry Warriors.  

1 What about the "second apron rule" would prevent a team from re-signing its own players, if they wanted to do so? I don't understand.

2 I don't buy the Kyrie-to-HOU idea as something with real potential.
    (a) I can't see the "asset math" as making sense to DAL, having paid so much to get Kyrie, then they let Kyrie walk (and pay HOU for a TPE), then once they have the TPE, they have to pay even more to get the player they acquire using the TPE.
    (b) DAL would have to pay for the TPE, since HOU could simply sign Kyrie, which generates no TPE.
    © More importantly is the question of HOU having interest. They seem to be a very unlikely choice of a player for HOU to pick as their one major dollar signee with that cap room. IMO Kyrie fits as the the 2nd or 3rd on a team in importance, but you don't want to hand him the reins as THE GUY.
    (d) They also seem like an unlikely choice to be made by Kyrie, unless DAL (and other contenders) won't pay him, and only HOU will.
