I'd argue they're in the same boat given the health concerns of both AD AND Kyrie, not to mention Lebron's another year older. Sure, even if they get Seth Curry they'd be slightly better. But their roster is still a mess.
Plus you always got to factor Kyrie can implode a team at any second just by being Kyrie.
Kyrie is a perfect piece with those guys, and Westbrook is one of the worst fits imaginable. The Lakers were nuts when they did that trade. Westbrook has value - despite getting crushed this year. But making Lebron or Westbrook (whoever doesn't have the ball) a spot up 3pt shooter is a crazy game plan. Kyrie can play off ball as well as any PG in the league. It is a huge difference. Adding either Harris or Seth is just more deadly for the Lakers. If they are able to pull this off, I hate to say it, but they are back. They will have to stay healthier than they were last year, but Lebron/AD/Kyrie/shooters is potentially nasty.
