The ball is the same for every team. Every opponent and your own team. If somebody else adjusts better to the new ball, then they are better at adjusting, and we are not. It can't be an excuse. It would only be an excuse if the NBA let Mavs play with the new ball when we are on offense, and change it for the opponents with the old ball when they are on offense. That is not the case.

Using this as excuse only prevents adjusting to the new ball. We should paying our effort to adjust, not to make excuses.
