Kings with the W.
Our own Harrison with 30PTs on 8/11 shooting. He also had a smart defensive play while the game was close towards the end of the 4th, rotating to pick up KAT so Sabonis wouldn't getting picked on. Holiday and Lamb had great contributions.

He had a nice stretch in the second half but he was the least impressive player for the Kings by a wide margin. D'Lo scoreless in the 4th. He was murdering the Kings for the first 3 quarters.

He's 28 and has spent half of his professional career on a team that specializes in teaching players bad habits. His mid-range push shot is nice, but he can't shoot. We talk about him like he's this great rim roller, but I honestly doubt he's as good at that as Powell, tbh. He's got the tools to be a good defender, but is he, in reality?

After Sabonis got elbowed to the face, they said Holmes offered him his spare pair of glasses. I guess Holmes has taken a lot of shots to the face this season and one that required surgery. So I guess he and Powell have that in common.

I think there are two massive benefits to trading for Holmes: 1) He would likely fit well with Luka, and he makes KP expendable 2) His contract is extremely affordable

He doesn't even try to shoot threes - from the way we play with KP, that would require/lead to a completely different style in my opinion.

Holmes is a marginal upgrade from Powell...and a huge talent downgrade from KP...neither defends nor spaces the floor
Only 8 hours left till the countdown to free agency starts.
 Just get me Mo Bamba. I don´t feel as strongly about him as a I did Jarrett Allen, but give him 25 MPG at C next to Kleber off the bench, and I predict 10/10 with 1.5 blocks.

I have mellowed down on Holmes.
I can honestly say, DP might be the better big when it comes to pick and roll plays. DP is quick on his feet, knows exactly when to go at it, and he has great hands, just a very good target for a lob. But I'm NOT going to say Holmes is a marginal upgrade over DP. There are quite a few things Holmes has over DP. Number one on the list is rebounding. Holmes isn't a great rebounder, but DP's rebounding is just the worst. Both Holmes and DP are energy guys and blue collar players, but Holmes physique enables him to do more on both sides of the floor. I'm sure DP is tenacious, but it just doesn't show as much as Holmes who has the strength to move bodies out of his way. Holmes is almost Maxi-like in the perimeter. He is no more a liability than most of the bigs in the league. Holmes too can block shots, not at a very high rate, but Holmes protects the rim better than DP. Holmes like DP isn't someone you want to throw the ball to and ask to score off the dribble or the post. But Holmes is miles away the better player at this end. He can score as opposed to DP who couldn't. Holmes moves are simple and yet effective, while DP mostly scores from lobs or left open for a jumper. Now here's the thing with DP and Holmes when it comes to offense. DP might be the better roller. But probably the reason why Holmes doesn't roll as much is because of that push shot, which is pretty good. Is that detrimental to a potential pick and roll with Luka? Not sure it is. Fans might be disappointed he isn't rolling as much if he gets to be a Mav. Fans will be expecting dunks not mid range floaters. I still think Luka can make Holmes better than he is. Holmes doesn't have a Luka on his team to show how good he can be.

Judging Holmes based on last night and the fact that he is currently incredibly unhappy and unmotivated and has no real PG would be a mistake IMO.
