This is all based on what @danschwartzgan and others have already proposed tapped into one transaction. I added Gallinari to the Atl trade because I don’t think a Collins for Barnes straight up gets it done. Maybe a 2nd included to get Heild?
The numbers technically work as is, but I’m not sure the incentive is there for every team.
Dallas sends: KP, THJ, Bullock, Sterling Brown
Dallas receives: Holmes, Gallinari, Heild, Collins
Why: Dallas strengthens their front court, gets a better shooter in Heild, but has to take on Gallinari’s contract and Heild’s less favorable contract
Sacto sends: Bagley, Holmes, Barnes
Sacto receives: KP, Sterling Brown
Why: Improves front court pairing with Sabonis and gets a player with a much higher ceiling
Indy sends: Heild
Indy receives: THJ
Why: gets a slightly lesser talent but someone that is familiar with RC who is on a much more team friendly deal
Atl sends: Collins, Gallinari
Atl receives: Barnes, Bagley, Bullock
Why: Offloads 2 big contracts, improves defense, and gets a slight upgrade in shooting
I dont believe this team will trade Bullock. Players that are developing and showing chemistry with Luka will be kept. Brunson in particular is a must keep. KP and THJ are not that great fits and will likely get traded, but maybe not at this trade deadline?
