Well, IF the rumors about Gobert/Mitchell are true, I think it works as a fairly even swap. Just make the salary numbers work (if you even have to, I haven't checked) and pull the trigger.
I think Utah will never be a contender as long as Mitchell is their only offensive star - he's not quite good enough.
I think KP/Luka isn't a great fit, for whatever reason, and adding Gobert, unquestionably one of the three best defensive players in the league, to the defensive system already being built here, might put the Mavericks in the league's top 5.
