NBA TRADE TALK: TDL over
(01-20-2022, 12:21 AM)cow Wrote: I don't think he can start for two reasons:

-Kidd is figuring this out and we have some really nice chemistry going.
-He's regressed.  Kidd needs to build him back up.

In the salary range:

Maxi + Josh + Pick
Bullock + Josh + Pick

THE DREAM IS ALIVE

He really has regressed, but his numbers have been much better since his move to the bench.  Westbrook and THT are just an awful fit.  Westbrook with Monk is much better.

I'm out on any deal that includes Josh (sorry dude, you are on your own there).  A vet who can shoot and play D (Bullock?) for THT makes sense for LA in the here and now.  In a season and a half, LA is down to AD and THT and a clean cap sheet.  Bullock's guarantee in 23 is about half of THT's player option.  I think you'd have to add something for THT's age and upside, but that something isn't Josh.

As to fit, he'd provide more shot creation than Bullock, and can probably lead the second unit like he's doing now in LA.  But that 3% is just a killer on a team that needs better shooting.  It is nice to have Kidd's intimate knowledge of the kid, but I don't see LA taking what I'd offer (Bullock, Frank + 2nd or Bullock, Moses +2nd).
