Could the Ben Simmons' mental shooting issue have a similar result to the other #1 former Philly pick Markelle Fultz? Markelle also left the 76ers as having a mentally broken shot, but I think all agree he did improve with Orlando (though him tearing his ACL was an extreme set back sadly). I already admit that Fultz is still not a three point sniper with the Magic, but he was a way better Free Throw taker and overall better and more confident shooter. Could Ben Simmons make similar gains (if not more) by getting out of apparently toxic (at least for him) Philadelphia?
For Reference on Fultz (ORL 19/20 really was his only full season):

That's an interesting point. Maybe, but to me, they are two different types of wrong at this point.
I think that Fultz's shot was broken in summer league it seemed...and no one saw that coming. He shot 40% from the floor in the SL in 17-18 and people thought he was the rock solid lock to come in ready to play.
People knew Simmons wasn't a great shooter, but figured he'd improve, and now after 4-5 years, he's actually gotten arguable worse and best case, only slightly better. Slight percentage increase, seemingly not as confident, which is strange.

I think it definitely puts both of them from outside the playoffs to solidly inside the playoffs, but I hesitate to throw around "contender", because I use that usually to say that someone can actually win the title, and I don't think those teams couldn't.
I think in the playoffs, you'd see the same things that you see in Philly, only not as good, because I don't think those teams are as good around him.
