I don't know if Bullock is going to have a great season or get hurt in game 3, but for now it's sure nice to know that DFS might have some help out there.

Watching that highlight above I’m imagining DFS-Bullock as a sort of two-headed monster! Wouldn’t that be nice!
Thank you Donnie.

I’m not trying to start a line-up discussion in this thread; but if the vision is KP-Maxi-DFS-Bullock-Luka that could be a real defensive unit, especially if a healthy KP is on a different level.
Thank you Donnie.

I can imagine that lineup being used, but I wouldn't call it "the vision". Well, I guess I'm probably jumping the gun on saying that, though, since we haven't seen JKidd coach the Mavs before.

Wow I love that contract even more.

Last year only guaranteed for half??
14x All-Star, 12x all-NBA, 1x MVP, 1x Finals MVP, 1 NBA Championship: Dirk Nowitzki, the man, the myth, the legend.

Do you remember how Josh Howard was used under Avery? He would start the game with specific action to get Josh an early 8-10 points, then Josh would settle into his role as an x-factor the rest of the game. Other teams never seemed to game plan it away and yet it still seemed intentional by the coaching staff.

I’m wondering if KP could be featured early in this way? I imagine Carlisle would have said “when we have a first quarter lead we win almost all the time, so I will go w Luka”. But I’m just playing fantasy coach here. An involved KP early could boost his #’s by near double digits, and might make him more effective late, as well as helping the load on Luka. Again, fantasy coach!
Thank you Donnie.

I have thought of that approach with KP too. I felt like it was done to a certain extent in the bubble too.

I do hope this is a sign of things to come from Nico. More contracts like this and less like Powell and KP's albatrosses.

When I compare his Knicks 3 and D video against our other 8-12 million guys Bullock fits more than very nicely at first glance. We do need him as a legitimate starter guy.

I'm excited about this signing, and the structure of the contract makes it even better.

If he can stay healthy, this won't be Delon Wright / Josh Richardson part III. Dude won't be expected to create, is a better shooter than either of them, and is a better defender too.

Even though I wanted to see more things happen this offseason, if you just remove Richardson last year and replace his minutes with a career 40% 3 point shooter who is also a better defender, we probably win 5 - 6 more games. And maybe edge the Clippers in the first round.

FWIW, bleacher report seems to really like Reggie Bullock.

They consider him a top 10 free agent signing

And they think he's our most underrated player

Man, I like it too. I really, really do, and I don't want to tear him down just to make a point about the off-season. But, this team needs more playmaking. Period. They also need great shooting (hopefully combined with defense) to play off of Luka and that hypothetically added playmaking, so I think it's reasonable to view Bullock and SBrown as positives. I certainly do.

If you get past the "shine" it absolutely is. I think you could argue top 5 (for guys changing teams) for the likely impact.

Where's Reggie Bullock? Is he vaccinated?

I think so.  I believe he had a death of someone close to him/family?  He had a post on twitter that was not kind to nurses and doctors.   It didn't look good.  I am going to give him the benefit of the doubt that he was lashing out dealing with tough situation.

Here's his most recent tweet from yesterday. Look past the superficial doctor talk (we don't know the details and people grieve in different ways), and it appears he's dealing with the death of a loved one.
