On a serious note, while I don't think DFS should be DPOY, I don't really think he's all that far away from deserving a defensive team spot. His name should at least be in the conversation. He just doesn't get the talked about much by NBA writers. You should watch Mitchell talk about DFS in the tweet I posted. Then you should watch the Utah broadcast of the game last night. They pointed out time and time again how Utah worked to get DFS switched off of Mitchell in favor of the Bullock matchup. As Mitchell pointed out, DFS is a rare combination of size, quickness and athleticism on the defensive end. I think he deserves more than the "good defender" label.
