Mem. Hustle V S.C. Warriors was an interesting game.
At one point SC Warriors were up to 25 points. The team chemistry was clicking with Nico Mannion passing the ball around. Very active player on both ends of the floor, not afraid to go physical on defense. Hinton was nice hitting the threes, beautiful shooting stroke on the corners. I see a lot of Delon Wright, a guy who can pass, rebound, slash to the basket, but unlike Wright, his not afraid to shoot once he has the ball.
But the player that impress me the most was the son of the legend, David Stockton. Drop 33 points, 5 ast, 4 reb and 2 stl. He just about single handedly brought the Mem. Hustle back up 2 points in the 4th quarter to close the 25 point gap. He hit a last second 3 in the end of the first half and hit a deep shot from near the mid court. The guy can score and handle the ball well, I can't see Stockton not joining an NBA team.

I know it's a lower level of competition, but his finishing looks to me like it's improving.

Who owns his rights? Definitely seems like a Carlisle type of player.

Didn't realize his age. It's probably the measurables.

Agreed. Nice to see him not just blow everything at the rim.

I think his speed, quickness, size and elevation really pops at that level, too. He's definitely athletic enough to succeed in the NBA. No question about that.

AND he has the intelligence and intangibles IMO. I really think he will turn into a nice rotation player.

Man I just dont see it with this guy. He just took a bunch of contested, terrible, mid range jumpers where he couldnt create any separation. He's kinda young I guess (20) compared to guys like Justin Anderson is about the only nice thing I can say.
I hope I'm wrong.

Guys are going to be more aggressive in G league. On the Mavs roster he is going to mostly shoot spot-up shots so those need to go in but I like that he has a pretty good handle and some offensive skill for when he is run off the 3 point line. The big thing for him is he needs to hit his outside shot at a good clip in the NBA.

What are you seeing/not seeing that makes you feel this way?

That's where I disagree. I think he's got absolutely nothing in those departments.
My hope for him is he can hit open 3s and turn into a Danny Green that can dunk.

His athleticism is like DSJ. He doesnt know how to use it to play basketball. He doesn't have the body control, ball handling, creativity to do anything in traffic.

The hypothetical player you're describing is a significant and winning player in the NBA.
