Getting rid of capela will somehow impact harden’s game. He won’t have an alley oop big anymore. harden will just drive or kick out for 3. Which I believe will benefit most teams moving forward.
Let’s see how far they will go

Is GS going to fw Wiggins to Big D for Lee, Wright, the resulting cap-tax relief, and their 2nd rounder back? That’s how my tea leaves read. I started to write up a Wiggins to Dallas deal a few days ago and just could't bring myself to do it. I think he might thrive here surrounded by better players in a lower usage role (we've seen that movie before). But, I didn't like what it did to our D, so I passed on the idea.

I was one of the biggest advocates for a Wiggins + RoCo deal but that was when THJ was still considered a bad chucker. Now they don´t have RoCo and THJ is having a career year. Wiggins also had a hot start this year but his numbers are slowly regressing. Add his contract and there is no asset outside of a top 5 pick or Towns that would make me want to trade for him.

I've wondered about Wiggins for two months. Certainly seems like a Mavs-type buy-low move. One thing about Wiggins, his value is low and he's still an awesome talent.
- A wing scorer that would allow the Mavs to play small; - Adds size on the wing and tremendous athleticism; - Mavs transition offense is near the bottom of the league (as the DFS article in The Athletic today notes); - Mavs have a history of rehabilitating players like Wiggins (Stackhouse) - Do the Mavs really need another good role player? Wiggins could be so much more, especially as a secondary weapon ... - Is Wiggins less risky than going all-in on another dynamic talent like John Wall?

I just don't think you can create a starting lineup with two abysmal defenders and hope to win in the playoffs.

According to our own Kevin O’Connor, there’s a different Wolves player the Warriors are fixated on if they’re dealing Russell: Quote:”Multiple league sources say Wiggins is involved in every iteration of a deal being discussed between the two teams. Wiggins has the best contract on the Wolves to match salaries with Russell, and his career could be re-energized in Golden State. It might be the greatest heat check of the year if the Warriors trade for such a notoriously inconsistent player who’s owed $94.7 million through 2022-23.”O’Connor goes on to explain that Wiggins alone won’t get the deal done. While the Wolves have offered both their 2020 first-round pick and Brooklyn’s 2020 first-round pick (via the Covington trade), Golden State wants different compensation. KOC says the Warriors “want future firsts instead of picks in 2020—most importantly, they want an unprotected first-round pick in 2021, which will have a much stronger draft class than the one coming this June. As of now, the Timberwolves aren’t budging on Golden State’s demands.” https://www.theringer.com/nba/2020/1/15/...e-deadline https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2874...-cap-space https://hoopshype.com/2020/02/05/andre-d...-clippers/ https://twitter.com/KeithSmithNBA/status...8391651328 https://twitter.com/SeanDeveney/status/1...2643658752 Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com. The Cavs have been shopping Thompson prior to Thursday’s trade deadline, but reportedly want a first-round pick in return — a price tag that has been tough to fetch for a 28-year-old who is just starting to peak at 11.9 points and 10.4 rebounds per game. Thompson’s camp wants him trade, according to Fedor, considering he would get to keep his Bird Rights and potentially land a more lucrative deal in the summer. https://twitter.com/IanBegley/status/122...7525405696 https://twitter.com/TheHoopCentral/statu...4259365888

Finally 1 hour has passed...
https://twitter.com/SeanDeveney/status/1...2643658752 The New York Knicks have one of the top assets on the trade block ahead of Thursday's deadline, as several teams are interested in Marcus Morris Sr., according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. "There's a tremendous market for him," Wojnarowski said Wednesday on SportsCenter. "The Clippers, the Lakers would love to get him and then keep him away from the other."

I think I'm pretty well out on Tristan completely, if he's expecting a big payday this summer. He's paid what he's worth right now.

If Evan Turner gets bought out that's a player we should target.

There will likely be ten teams with a better shot at postseason success who will target him, and we can't offer more than the vet minimum. We would have to clear roster space for him anyway. A better move would be to trade for him now.

What would Minnesota give to get out of the $5-6 million dollar difference between Turner and Lee? I'd like a 2nd rd pick in the next couple of years ('21 especially) |
