I was really hoping the Knicks and Sixers would go to 7 games. If ever a series deserved it. Hart and Brunson wouldn't allow it though. I am not sure Tobias Harris is going to be allowed back in Philly. I am really interested to see what he gets this summer. With that being said, Oubre is going to be interesting as well. He should have much more interest than he did last summer.
Milwaukkee looked so slow. Obviously they are limited with Giannis. I am just not sure how they make that team into a true contender. I beleive they have two picks in the draft. One high second rounder. The draft is weak though. If they could someone find a pick like Jacquez, Podz, Whitmore and then sign a guy or two like Jones, Oubre, etc, that may be their only way out. They need more athleticism if they want to have a chance in the weaker east.
I really hope the NBA isn't really hoping for one game 7. I hope the Mavs take care of business tonight.

Milwaukee have a bad coach. may be a bit hard to believe but there are some coaches even worse than Jason Kidd in NBA. plus their offseason moves last summer were atrocious. replacing Jrue with Lillard is hardly an upgrade in the hindsight, not to mention the picks and other capitals they gave up. Giannis absence may give them an excuse for the 1st round exit though.

JJ Redick? This has to be a joke.
I actually think Reddick has made it known that he's interested in a HC job. He may have already interviewed elsewhere.
There's not a great track record for that kind of leap though. It seems a bit desperate... which may be the Lakers are. LeBron may be pushing for it.

Brunson is 4th player in NBA playoff history with 4 straight games of 39+ pts.

Hard to believe Brunson is averaging more pts and assists than Luka in the playoffs.

Punk move by Pat Bev. He should be writing a big check next.

While Charles Barkley is a certain broadcast free agent if Warner Bros. Discovery loses its NBA package following the 2024-25 season, industry sources said Thursday that co-host Ernie Johnson would remain at Turner either way — meaning next season could be the last for TNT’s award-winning studio show “Inside the NBA.” – via Sports Business Journal
Johnson did not respond to an interview request Thursday, but sources said he is staying at WBD mostly because of loyalty. “He is Turner Sports. Period,” a source said. – via Sports Business Journal

Every Year there's team happy to acquire PB.
And every year there's a team even happier to be getting rid of him.

Reddick seems like really knowledgeably and intelligent guy. He could be a good coach imho.
He was (is?) rumored as a candidate for a Charlotte head coaching job. There was a video posted very recently where Luka and Shamgod make a bit of fun of him because of that.
I think the LA thing is more a speculation. On one hand Reddick is looking for a HC job, on the other hand he is podcasting with LeBron.

Love me some Brunson but between him and Embiid the foul baiting in the series was on another level. Brunson almost looks like Harden when he attacks the rim. Not a single drive where he doesn't snap his head back.

Seven of the NBA’s 10 biggest spenders in 2023/24 have already been eliminated from championship contention, tweets ESPN’s Bobby Marks. Those team are, in order, the Warriors (No. 1), Suns (No. 3), Bucks (No. 5), Heat (No. 7), Lakers (No. 8), Pelicans (No. 9) and Sixers (No. 10).
The Clippers, who had the league’s second-highest payroll this season, also trail their first-round series with Dallas, Marks observes. Only the Celtics (No. 4) and Nuggets (No. 6) have advanced to the second round.
