I know who I am going to bet (I don't bet) in game 7. As good as Embid and Harden has been, no one will remember anything if they don't show in game 7. I may be wrong, but last night might have been Philly's chance. I would really love to see Hardy have a similar career developmental path as Maxey.
I didn't watch the PHX and Denver game but it appears I did not miss much. With PHX out now, we have Dallas, PHX and LAC (Minnesota?) as desperate but talented teams this offseason. Maybe we can argue if Dallas is talented, but they do have an elite player. It is going to be real interesting because these teams are feeling the pressure. Different type of pressure, but pressure nonetheless.
In my opinion Smart was the best player of the floor. Just like Draymond two days ago. Feels like they have another gear in the playoffs and play their best basketball in elimination games. Basically incapable of scoring 20+ points in the regular season but when it matters most they get the job done.

Bam is a matchup problem for the Knicks because of his quickness and he's more offensive minded than the Cavs bigs. Mitchell Robinson and Hartenstein have been non-factor's in this series to this point

Brunson is special. Dude is single handedly keeping the Knicks close. He has 30 pts. Only the second Knick ever to have 4 30 pt games in a series. He's the face of the Knicks now.

This season has been brutal to watch. Jalen was top 5 maverick for me all time as far as my favorite. I just can’t root for him now though. Pain is too fresh. Every time I watch him I get more pissed with Cuban. I really need them to lose so i can enjoy the rest of the playoffs.

Anyone but Jalen if I am Miami. Randle and Barrett really struggling this game.

James still incredible.
I feel kind of sorry for the people who have had too much hate for him to appreciate his greatness

I second that. Like him or not, he's definitely on the Mount Rushmore of all-time greats. The Warriors are finally at the crossroads. They have to decide who to keep and who to move. They need size and more defense obviously. I could see them moving Poole who was incognito throughout the playoffs after getting that big bag last year. I'll give the Lakers a slight chance vs Denver, but they've been playing as well as anyone outside Miami. But Denver finally gets to the promise land.

The Mavs need to be all over this. Kuminga is the type of wing they've been looking for, with still lots of upside.

Quote:Jonathan Kuminga's represenatives and the Golden State Warriors are expected to discuss his future this offseason, sources tell The Athletic.
If Kuminga doesn't project to have a full time role moving forward, he will want to be moved to a team that can offer him a bigger opportunity. Kuminga fell out of Steve Kerr's rotation in the playoffs when Andrew Wiggins returned from his personal leave.
Kuminga was the No. 7 pick in the 2021 NBA draft, but it's difficult to fit him into lineup combinations with both Draymond Green and Kevon Looney.

Oh they will be. Warriors will pick Kuminga. We will trade #10, future 1st, Kleber, Bullock and Hardy for Draymond.
On the bright side since Cuban didn´t think Brunson was worth 25M/year, inferior Kyrie will be in for a rude awakening.
Cuban: Here is my 100M offer.
Irving: I don´t want a two year deal.
Cuban: Oh no no no. It´s for five years.

I agree Warriors will pick Kuminga. But I am fine with Green, assuming he will stay dedicated to the game. He is still very good and imho exactly what Mavs need. Defensive general, who will hold EVERYONE accountable. As a possible free agent, he has a lot of leverage and I think Warriors will make him good to help him get where he wants to go. So Mavs need to cash in all those player relationship chips they have been working on for past 2 seasons.

I am actually surprised Kuminga didn’t have more of a breakthrough this year. The current Warrior team is a tough fit if yo don’t play a certain way around their stars though. But there have been times where I thought Kuminga looked great, but my viewing has been limited. I am surprised they did not force fee him minutes every night. I am a fan.
Congrats to the Lakers front office. They didn’t panic and found right deals after making a bad decision n Westbrook eventually. If I am Luka, I am holding the Mavs front office to the same standards moving forward.
Sort of surprising if the Celtics win, we will have the same conference finals as 2020.

Kuminga had a good regular season, receiving playing time because of injuries. But since he is not a great shooter, it is difficult to play him next to Green and Looney. However, Shams info seems to indicate GSW will keep Green. In that case I would be all over Kuminga too. I wonder, what his value is. He was #7 pick, still cost controlled for two years and only 20 years old. But still, I am not sure I would spend #10 for him. Starting with June, GSW will also have huge roster building limitations as they will likely be over the second apron. Mavs don't have a suitable (realistic) one on one contract for Kuminga.
Totally agree about Lakers. Awesome TDL

I would need to think about it a lot more. But I may pull the trigger if we kept the 10th pick and guys like Wallace and Dick were the top two prospects left. Not ready to say either way.

If something like #10 for Kuminga and GSW #19 would be possible, that would be great. The problem is still the contract going to GSW

Golden State has some youngsters who if they can develop and play makes things a lot easier for them. Some like Kuminga and Moody need to sink or swim soon. Patrick Baldwin is 20 and like Hardy a former top 5 recruit and Ryan Rollins is also 20 (last years second round pick). They are going to need to have some of those guys work out and get playing time while also finding some additional young, cheap talent.

Is Poole the Suns' equivalent of Ayton?
Both are decent regular-season performers who got way overpaid, and now represent significant roadblocks to their teams' roster building?

I would agree with that. Both came up woefully short in the playoffs. I believe Ayton is as good as gone as Phoenix now finds itself in the same position as Dallas having to re-tool around its two stars. Poole has had a trying season to start ever since the Draymond punch. I believe it set the tone for his whole season.
