Am I crazy because I am not even that high on Wood but love to see them change the approach when it comes to the end of the bench. Cleaned up the mess with one move and added a starting caliber player. If I haven´t missed something that leaves the Mavs with 10 players under contract. Frank being non guaranteed. Assuming that they resign Brunson and Pinson 12 players under contract.
3 roster spots and 2 two-ways available.

I still think if the Mavs like someone on draft night and can buy a pick they will. That would be the smart thing to do, especially with a 2nd where you can get them on a 2 way. It is good to have rookies every year. Smart organizations do it.

Also...the most important part. @"KillerLeft" and I can end our feud. Boban is gone. Burke is gone. Happy end for all of us.

Also tells us a lot about the way the Mavs view the front court positions. Wood isn´t a great defender but he can at least somewhat move his feet. Wouldn´t be suprised if they add a more defensive minded development project in the draft or as a free agent but the days of slow and lumbering bigs in Dallas are over.

I'm not a fan of Wood due to defensive limitations (and chemistry concerns) but this is a crazy good deal. I can't believe nobody beat that offer.

It would have taken a 2nd round pick or 2 to dump those contracts. Hard to complain about getting a starting caliber guy by including a late first instead

Would love to see Hartenstein or Jalen Smith for the tax MLE to complement.
