Through 27 games in 2020-21: Mavs offense ranked 10th while the defense ranked 25th, with a net rating of -1.5- Luka only missed one game, Porzingis missed 11.
This year through 27 games: offense ranked 17th while the defense is ranked 15th, with a net rating of 0. - Luka missed 6 games, Porzingis missed 7.
Maybe not sexy but I am liking what Kidd is doing this year, starting the foundation of a strong defensive team. If only we could make a couple more wide open shots per game. Once that happens, look out!
You left out Mavs were missing "half a team" due to Covid in this stretch last season

After the Pacers finished the 2006–07 season with a 35–47 record (missing the playoffs for the first time since 1997), Bird fired Carlisle as head coach. Carlisle understood the decision, saying that the Pacers needed "a new voice." In four seasons with the Pacers, Carlisle compiled a 181–147 record.

Thanks for that tidbit. I couldn't figure out if Bird fired him. In one of those seasons, he coached the Pacers to the best record in the NBA at 61-21 but lost to Detroit in the playoffs.

If it gets his knee right, I’m about it.
If it sets him back with conditioning, that will suck.
Both of those concerns are more important than the results of the next handful of games, imo.

Don't have to be working out to get that diet right! Might not see the results of that immediately, but it would set the stage for being able to get back in shape.

Any pro-Frank post has to be semi-all-right, aimrite? Allez les blues.
But those are irrelevant numbers. Luka has been hobbled (or out) for about 50% of the Mavs games and KP was out for a disjoint 25%. Everyone should calm tf down, imo.
But Frank is a steal, anyway.

Trade Luka and KP and build around DFS and JB.

Along with Bullock and Luka, WCS is out for personal reasons. And Josh Green and Frank are both out with illness. Eugene is out with a foot injury.
It is a shame. There are minutes available for our young wings.

Anyone have a clue as to why when someone embeds a twitter post in a thread on this site, I can no longer view it? Is there some setting I need to turn on or off?
