2024 NBA Draft
(06-27-2024, 05:22 PM)Mavs2021 Wrote: I was only half-kidding about the best french player of this draft class. I honestly have never gotten a clear read how these people determine so many of these raw, but super athletic French prospects.

Just for shits and giggles here are the LNB A Pro stats from last season for

Risacher (#1 pick) 10.1 PPG, 3.8 RPG, 51/35/74
Salaun (#6 pick)  9.0 PPG, 4.0 RPG, 43/33/77
Ajinca (#51 pick) 9.3 PPG, 3.3 RPG, 51/31/80

That´s the base of operations for three players that are the same age. If Ajinca develops his jumpshot the best, he could easily become the best of these three. He also has some leadership experience and accolades from the LNB B Pro and the successful French Under 18/19 teams.

He´s incredibly raw right now. I would be very surprised, but not shocked, if he became a better player than Risacher or Salaun.

That is a good perspective tbh, I won't care much if he is better or worse as long as he can contribute

Seems it is. The guy is like the 20th best German center. Big Grin

Now lets get our own Edwards and Bridges. I´m surprised Edwards fell this far as a highly recruited Kentucky freshman. Is he one of Flipkowski´s mormon wives or something?

This is good enough for me. You go way deeper on these fringe draft guys than any of the rest of us. It's finally paying off!

*just remember that the shooting splits include the 2P%. Not the FG%.

I genuinely love how you always have at least a little blurb for the most obscure guys.

As usual the Mavs are nowhere to be found while the rest of the league is signing undrafted players. I wonder if the current two-way guys will get another opportunity next year.
