If this is really how it goes, then it's about the best case scenario from here, imo. Sure, the new guy might blow, but every team runs that risk with every new hire. All I think it's reasonable to demand, as fans, is that there's a plan and a system in place. One that can be evaluated from time to time, and with someone at the top who can be held accountable, someone who can be replaced.
