I mean, how long does it take for all the decision makers to get together and figure out the needs and wants (skill-wise) for the team. That can also be a part of the interview process. Once that is decided on, they would most assuredly have a list of the known quantities throughout the league, then it comes down to projections of who might be able to fit those skillsets.
I feel like some of that could happen in about a week to be prepared for the draft. Sure there might be some fly by the seat of your pants decisions to make, but that comes with the territory of jumping on breaking news for all FOs.
