Really fun game. One I was not expecting to win after the big lead diminished. Typically when the Mavs start hot from the outside but the other teams is attacking the basket, I always have a bad feeling that eventually our hot shooting will cool.
DFS was excellent. What a run he has been on. Burke was a nice addition of offense late to go with Hardaway. I am literally shocked these days when Richardson makes an outside shot. Boy, I really think his minutes need to be cut a little.
I am impressed with Washington. Their future is TBD. They are going to be tough out in the play in game....if they make it. Beal is Beal. Westbrook puts up monster stats and always plays hard. Sometimes when I watch them....it is too much Westbrook. But last night he even made a few threes. My question is if Westbrook will get another chance to play for a competitor. Or is his career left being on an average team where he can be one of the stars? He is so tough to stop when he is attacking.
Gafford was a steal by Washington. He looks like an ascending player. I know he is not Gafford, but there are times where he sort of looks and moves like him. He may be a solid starter very soon in the league. I really like Rui. He was a guy in the draft who I thought it was very important for him to go to the right spot. I feared Washington was not the right spot. He is big, athletic and is really smooth. Washington has a good one there. Interesting team....may be stuck in the good not great range. But I have liked what I have seen over the second half of the season.
