In the West, I think it's pretty much the two LA teams and everyone else is at least one level below.
Brooklyn, Boston, Miami and Milwaukee might not be a threat to beat either of those LA teams, but they sure are a threat to each other.

That guy Michael Pina hit us with a drive by the other day, to end his podcast. He just casually mentioned that he didn't think the Mavericks would make the playoffs. I almost drove my car off the road I was so shocked.
I think one of the main questions regarding this ranking (other than health and coaching) is who takes the next step.
You look at the NBA, there is usually a fight between the old guards and the new ones at some point. You know, like MJ taking over the Pistons eventually, or more recent how LBJ/Wade/Bosh generation finally took over from Kobe,Dirk,TD, KG in the early years of the 2010's decade
Then the Curry, Harden, KD fighting over the Lebron of the league.
Now, those KD,Curry etc along Lebron himself are the old guard, with one small issue.
There is only one player born in the 1990's that lead his team to the title, and that was Kawhi. Kyrie and AD were great Robben to Lebron.
Kawhi is 30 during next NBA finals
Now, it seems that players who are even younger are the ones trying to take over; the Jokic,Luka, Tatum, Mitchel and the most obvious one is Giannis.
You might be right about Lakers & Clippers, but Denver might be end up winning the West or Mavs/Utah making a conference finals.
People underrates the importance of organic growth within teams tbh
