They looked really good in the early bubble games and slowly started to fade with growing exhaustion. First round they had to bang against Steven Adams. Against the Lakers they had to guard AD.
DFS would look a lot worse in a similar situation. He isn´t nearly as strong as Tucker and not on RoCo level as a help defender and shot blocker.
I get your point. It's a little like comparing apples to bowling balls. But, that point works the other way, too.
I think DFS is a keeper, personally, though I agree that those other guys are better modern "bigs."
They aren´t bigs. RoCo played minutes at SG for the 76ers. It craziness from D´Anthony and Morey. RoCo is 6´7/210, Tucker is 6`6/245. Both are versatile defenders that can play a few minutes as small ball bigs.
I think that DFS is a keeper as well and his contract is an asset but there is no doubt that Tucker and RoCo are better players right now. DFS is obviously younger and can close the gap in the coming years.
