Yeah, Mavs fans seem fixated on the play-in proposals for the 7th seed because that scenario clearly screws Dallas. But the group play proposal for the first round makes a lot more sense to me. It rewards the good teams that already played well this season while allowing for the possibility that the final seeds could have been different if they finished out the full season. And it would definitely be great TV.
