I'm not sure Naji is a far better offensive player. He is worse shooter/floor spacer which is more important on a team with Luka and Kyrie. We were also told that he was offered the same contract Naji was offered first (its been a while but I believe it was a credible source). At this point Nico was the only one running the show and I think it was more about getting his buddy Klay in here than anything else.
