As I said in the Mavs news thread, I think a lot of the burden is actually on Luka. I want him to watch how KP and the others play without him. It's excellent basketball. If he can learn how to play that style as the lead facilitator and scorer, it raises the team's quality and ceiling big-time.
Moreover, if he learns to trust his teammates more, he can expend more energy on defense, which will also serve to raise the team's ceiling.
