The Kings fans have been beat down for so long, they would probably be fine getting off this mediocrity treadmill.
The Kings can make more moves though. You can't just look at the trade in a vacuum. The Kings have had a better look at who Haliburton is than anyone. They know they are headed towards a rebuild no matter what public face they are putting on. Maybe they just like Sabonis more and the price was right. Both Sabonis and Haliburton are on talented teams that are underperforming.
