NBA TRADE TALK: TDL over
I would really like the league to step in and say that Ben Simmons plays 30 games for the 76ers and shows that he is over his mental health issues, before teams are allowed to trade for him. Can word it in such a way that they have his best interest at heart.

He is an excellent distributor from top of the key - short roll Dallas lacks when Luka is doubled. Plays defense, can hit an open three. Maxi and him could split the PF minutes and we would have an ok option on at all times.

That all sounds good except I'm a little skeptical on the open 3.  He is literally shooting zero percent this year and shot less than 27 last year with a lot of minutes.  I'm not sure that is somebody you want on the floor with Powell or Chriss.

A three team trade could make this happen with KP and THJ for Sabonis. Someone will see THJ as positive what they need next season. Someone must be in love with what KP brings. He has great value still. I agree, no way KP ends up in Indy directly.

There is so much hope in this post.  I don't want to be the killer of dreams.

Im fine also if its KP and Powell. Or even KP and DFS I would say yes immediately. Sabonis paired with Luka and Brunson, is what would brings us a championship IMO.

When you look at KPs career, his best years are actually for Dallas and equalling or exceeding his best year for Knicks. Yet, he just hasn't had a huge impact. Given how big he is and injury history, he wont play very long, his best years should be right now and the next 2-3years. It doesnt appear as he is a player that will lift his game to new levels. Thats a major reason to trade him. On other hand despite now providing offensive excellence for that money, he can really control the paint and that skill may be crucial for going far this season. Tough decision. I think he will be the one traded.

I agree with every word of this, right up until the last sentence.

If KP excels defensively this season and we keep him, and we win the championship, he was all worth it. Even if he gets injured next season and the next 3 and rarely plays. I have a strong and good feeling about this season and Mavs. KP can really contribute. He is not the Unicorn we hoped for, but great player he is, and he can turn games around. That being said, there are other players that can fit better and contribute more for this team.

sellers market.  Pretty good haul for Levert if Indy decided he wasn't in their long term plans.  Not sure what the protections are for the first.  Indiana did good.   The Houston second is basically a late first.

Cleveland gets another player who should help.  Sucks Rubio got hurt.  He was playing well.  I wonder what type of deal he gets this summer?

Did Cleveland and Indy do better in the Harden trade than Houston?

Is injured Turner worth more or less than this?  If more, how much more?
