13mm for Theis? Might as well try for Holmes who is a better fit at that price. I don't think the Mavs are going to commit that much to a big man this offseason either.
Mavs will need to renounce everyone to have the room to sign Lonzo outright. Maybe the Pels could be interested in a SnT with JRich+Brunson but that's a long shot and Lonzo isn't a clear cut upgrade over Brunson.
Hopefully the Mavs find a good trade partner for JRich. Perhaps Miami would be interested for Goran Dragic+Robinson for JRich+Picks.

A random thought.
Do we call GSW and ask what they'd give us to take Wiggins' contract off their hands? Wiggins hypothetically could be the Mavs 3rd scorer we've been looking for. On GSW he's quietly become efficient on less shots. Further his defense is actually much improved. He was a top 3 defender for the first 3 months of the season

I see Wiggins as the piece to move DFS to the bench where he belongs. Maybe a SnT for Hardaway would be all that it takes. His contract runs for 2 more years which is a lot, but Wiggins has always been able to bring 15-20 points a night every night in his career.
I can't believe I've talked myself into Wiggins.

Wiggins is the pill we swallow in a KP for Wiseman+Minny pick trade, not someone to actively trade for.

I don't think Mavs would do that, there would need to be a third team involved that has pieces Mavs want. I don't think Mavs want Wiseman who is like a 2-3 year project, rookie and Wiggins.

McCollum + Nurkic.
for
Porzingis + Kleber + '25 1st or Green (whatever they prefer, maybe both).
Renounce THJ and J-Rich to sign Collins to the max and hope ATL doesn't match.
Luka-CJ-DFS-Collins-Nurkic is a TASTY starting lineup. Brunson-MLE-Powell from the bench.

What do you guys think about trading KP for Jerami Grant and Mason Plumlee?

Don´t think the Pistons are a good trade partner for the Mavs. They probably prefer Grant on a better contract and are still in deep tanking mode. Already mentioned it a few times. A KP trade is difficult. Good teams aren´t giving up key players. Mavs aren´t looking for picks and prospects. Tanking teams probably prefer picks or prospects. Mavs have no picks/prospects. A three-way deal is by far the most likely option.
KP to a team like GS, Miami or Boston. The mentioned teams trade picks and matching salary to a 3rd team. Players x/y/z from a 3rd team go to Dallas.

Thats exactly the kind of reclamation project the Mavs should be going after. Wiggins isn't unplayable. Warriors would probably be highly motivated to get off his money and could pay the Mavs at least a 1st to take on that contract. Doubly so if we give them JRich or THJ in a SnT as well.
Mavs could restock the cupboard (while not giving up KP), and in the process get a guy who can play 25-30 mins a night and defend at a high level.

This offseason is so big for the Mavs this year. If the Mavs don't hit and hit big, the buzzards from other teams will start peaking their heads out and start their 2-3 year planning for Luka. I don't want to think about that.
For me, I still like an offseason of Derozan and Holmes. Derozan adds some punch back into the starting lineup and can also help when Luka gets well needed breaks. Holmes allows you to move Kleber back to the bench. Holmes provides some athleticism, size and skill to our front court. Plus, when KP misses his game, you at least have one big man who could get you 20-25 points if needed. Outside shooting may not be great with the starters, but I welcome the day when we are not so reliant on three pointers. I don't mind shooting them, even a lot of threes, I just don't like how it is our only way to attack outside of Luka drives.
I hope you could get both this offseason. You would need to lose Richardson and Hardaway. I would like to bring Hardaway back but this team needs to improve their starters. I am not sure there is a route to do this if we bring back Hardaway.
Minus Hardaway and Richardson, this team is a little shallow on the wings. Although I think it is important not to box in Josh Green. He needs consistent minutes next year imo. He may need time to find himself, but you can protect yourself with a minimum guy or a trade at the trading deadline if Green is not improving. I would like to see consistent minutes for Green and possibly Bey next year.

Holmes seems more like a center in the Mavs system than a PF so I don't see Mavs going in that direction.

You may be right. I have been focusing for two years of finding a physical presence to pair next to KP. It is really tricky though. Because I was focusing on PF type who can defend on the perimeter, hit an open three, rim run, score inside, and provide some veteran leadership. These players are hard to find.
The Mavs clearly still need this player. You can't go to war with the current front court players the Mavs have. Especially in playoff ball. This team desperately needs another guy. For me, he would start in front of Kleber and make Kleber a high usage bench player. I just find it really odd this team thought a KP/Maxi front court was good enough. I always thought of James Johnson was an expiring contract, not a useful piece. Kleber is good but I have injury concerns for him after a lot of minutes and he is pretty limited on offense.

I dont know anything about his contract...as in if he can say no to being traded...but why would Grant want to be in Dallas if the rumors of him wanting to play in Detroit for a Black coach and so that the offense goes through him?
I would assume that if you are a free agent and you choose your destination like that...you would have some sort of no trade clause. I could be wrong.
Regardless...he wants to be around Brothas(nothing wrong with that..his choice) and wants more control on offense. He would hate it here. Maybe he is super professional and would be a good employee...but I dont know if I would want to pull Grant from Detroit and hope he is happy here if pulling him away was an option.

Crazy how the majority of the Mavs fanbase saw this coming except the MBT.
I think Lonzo is going to make that jump next

KP's value is probably Nurkic straight up but not with CJ included maybe other pieces. KP has really lost value and we will need to be accepting of not getting equal return.
The best deal IMO we could hope for is Wiseman, Wiggins, and a pick for KP and even that is a bit too much IMO.
Mavericks could move Wiggins for other pieces.

Speaking of dumpster fires (Wiggins), I wish I could erase Season 5 of The Wire from my memory and never watch it. It marred an otherwise all-time great show.

Yeah, the fake serial killer thread was a bit too unrealistic, I agree. Not as bad as the last season (or really the last 4 seasons) of Game of Thrones, but pretty bad.

Game of Thrones was great until the Red Wedding and then just started to spiral. Both had terrible last seasons with little redemption (I liked the conclusion of Omar's arc), but with all apologies to S1 of GOT, it really isn't in the same league as S1-4 of The Wire.
