Interesting. I think the best starting lineup is Wright - Curry - Luka - Maxi - KP, but if Delon wants to come off the bench, Dorian has been pretty good at defending guards and Curry is a sufficient secondary ball handler.

Best starting lineup will be
Zinger, Luka, Curry, Finney-Smith and DP
Luka and Zinger need to play less in the first half though to keep them fresh for late game pushes and closing.
Probably their conditioning will improve over the first month. Most players say you cannot fully prepared for the real thing (NBA games) which is obviously wrong but most play themselves into shape.
An example how to train late game freethrows would be to
1. Exhaust yourself via interval jogging/sprinting
2. Some pushups.
3. Sprint the court up and down and take free throws after each sprint.
Have a shooting coach supervise your form while doing so in order not not fuck up your form.
Have audience background playing from boxes and teammates and coaches constantly yelling at you.

I'd prefer Wright but you could talk me into Brunson
Followill mentioned on the radio this morning that Wright told the media that he prefers coming off the bench. Feels more comfortable in that role b/c he doesn't have to defer as much to Luka/KP. I intended to like this post but may have ended up clicking the report button on my phone due to being a fatty. I sincerely apologize to everybody involved and will hit the gym within the next 20 minutes.
Go Mavs.

Yup I like Curry, DFS, Maxi as your other starters.

Agreed. The fact that the gamethread has around 400 posts and about 15 pages 5 games into the season is awesome. And at the end of the day; we're all just nomads that found a place to set up our home(Thanks Magik!). lol

The fun thing is, the people who joined are super active. The userbase itself isn't as big.
Mavs Reddit is growing super fast since Doncic is on the team. It is up to 80000. This community here is special and tightknit. I hope some more old people show up.
But I for one will welcome all new faces. I'm posting as active as possible because I want this to be a good place.

So excited for this game!
Luka/KP can't possibly have back to back off-nights. I think they'll show up tonight. But Luka always had bad games vs Lebron (correct me if I'm wrong).
But Lakers are really big. Who's gonna stop AD? Lebron? Even Dwight Howard is starting to play much better.
Can Boban help? I hope we see him tonight.

My question is, how are the Lakers going to stop our offense with all those lumbering behemoths roaming the floor? I think they end up having to adjust to us.

Or we to them. Will be really interesting to see.
Can KP expose Howard and McGee with his perimeter shooting? Can Howard physically dominate KP in the paint?
That´s the most interesting matchup in my opinion. Obviously shot making will be just as or even more important (if I had to guess I would say the team with the better 3-point percentage wins).
Could be the best possible matchup for KP but it also could be the worst. In a best case scenario he makes 5 3s, blocks 5 shots and the Mavs don´t get dominated on the boards. In a worst case scenario he struggles from 3 and the Lakers get 15+ offensive boards.

Agree, fascinating aspect to the game. Related to that, is LeBron going to try and guard Luka?

For a good primer on today's game vs. LAL, I recommend listening to this podcast, where one of the main people from LAL's Locked On Podcast is interviewed by our Kirk H.
They talk about who will be guarding who. The Locked on Lakers guy says that Green will be guarding Luka.

Don´t think so. LeBron hasn´t guarded the best opposing perimeter player since he left Miami and he is clearly getting slower. Danny Green is the most likely option against Luka.

"razz-skazz skiddily-doo"
The reporter said it first but I see tweets that imply LeBron came up with it.
I don't think it is respectful of Luka's game but whatever.

That is a bit that a guy who used to be on the Ticket does. Don't know if he's still on the Ticket, but he crossed over from the Kid Kraddick show because he wanted to be in sports radio. If I remember correctly LeBron used to play along with it and liked the different approach. I know Shaq loved it.
