This is good for the Mavs. Now we can move on from Giannis and start looking for a 3rd cornerstone now. I never thought Giannis was leaving, but this will seal the deal. He's definitely staying. His team is ridiculously loaded now.

Josh Green is a top 5 Mavs player...

And he is worth all of them. Milwaukee is a more or less guaranteed contender for next 2-3 years. We will see, if they have what is needed to win it all.

Even if they don't win a Championship, you got to make the trade to keep the most important player your franchise's history since Lew Alcindor. It's rare enough that you stumbled into a generational talent, but it's a generational talent that isn't just counting down the days until he can leave for LA or Miami or NYC.

Quote:if you have the MVP, you stack the deck around him and go for it at all costs while you still can I thought you were supposed to allow your MVP's supporting cast to leave and sign drug addict reality show celebrities and homeless people to replace them so that you can spend a half a decade trying to make your MVP your second or third best player through free agency so that your MVP can spend his last prime years growing shaggy beards while dragging cast offs, old vets and poor mid 1st round draft picks to the 8th seed every year.

Man Bucks are having an amazing off-season. The Giannis sweepstakes is much more difficult.
^ More difficult, as in non-existant?!? Giannis ain't going anywhere...
I'm still confused by the timing of this.
If it was us I have no doubt the deal would be voided and we'd be blocked from signing or trading for Bog for a few years (11-17-2020, 10:11 AM)ClutchDirk Wrote: https://preview.redd.it/vt04u75h8sz51.jpg?auto=webp&s=7ca65bfcac938c4b2b444f43f691481e1de0403a Just totally depends on their dialogue with Giannis 5 years of prime Giannis is worth every first rounder you can possibly send out. Screw the future

Trump found out about the trade and filed some lawsuits.
