LeBron complaining about MVP voting is another reminder why I have always found it difficult to root for him. Does he still not realize that it's a regular season award and he's playing with a teammate who also was Top-6 in voting?
Giannis absolutely deserved it. Led them to the best regular season record and also didn't have another superstar teammate unlike LeBron and Harden.

Absolutely agree that him complaining is a bad look, and makes him even less likable.
Absolutely agree that Giannis deserved the award as it exists today.
But, I do kind of think they could redefine the award to make a higher percentage of people happy with the results. Lebron IS a much, much better player than Giannis, and unlike Kawhi, he worked hard during the regular season, not just the playoffs.

Really fun to watch the ECFs. Outstanding coaching on both sides. Spoelstra 3-2 zone won the first two games. Celtics made adjustments and Stevens figured out that he can take away the matchup advantage that Adebayo has over Theis by going even smaller. Tatum is the biggest player on the floor for the Celtics and Smart plays as the nominal center/help defender in the middle. Completly taking away the Heats ability to get penetration and as a result open kick out 3s.
Spoelstra changed it up again and benched Dragic in crunch time. Pick and roll offense wasn´t working and now the Heat are running off ball screens for Robinson and Herro. No PG on the floor. 4 wings and Adebayo at center.
Marcus Smart was 8/8 from the FT line in the last minute of a close game. Wish that Curry or THJ could just make 2/2 when it matters most.

Easily two of the best in the game. What Spoelstra has done with MIA this year is incredible. Just incredible.

Yeah, for sure. They're so obviously holding out for Giannis and didn't even really see themselves competing this year. I hate to say it, but I think the Pat Riley hype is the real deal.

No hype with Riley. He's been one of the best POBO and HC's in this league since his Laker days.

Well, that's the hype I'm talking about. I'm saying I agree with you.

Just like in Game 1, Vogel starts McGee, and just like in game 1, he takes the guy out and goes smaller about 2/3 of the way through the first quarter.
In both cases, Davis starts killing Jokic, and LA builds a fat lead.
LA is longer than Denver at pretty much every position, and they're not respecting Denver's shooters very much. Lots of aggressive help defense, and almost no clean passing lanes ever. Denver hasn't figured out how to make them pay. The spacing just hasn't been good enough.

I think LeBron could prolong his high level of play even more if he really embraces the role of a small ball 4/5. He lost some quickness and struggles to create from the perimeter but he creates mismatches all over the floor when he defends Plumlee or Millsap on the defensive end.

Dwight Howard is in Jokic's head.
Malone has run some stuff to take advantage of Howard being out there tonight, and they've gotten a couple of their best looks that way, but the shots didn't go down.
Denver really needs to start hitting some outside shots to get all of those long defenders from sagging into the paint, where they're taking away all the passing angles.

To be fair. I really don´t understand how the last foul call was on Jokic. Looked like Howard hooked him and pulled him down.
Denvers spacing is terrible. Don´t know what is wrong with Murray but Howard is not even trying to defend the pick and roll. He just stays with Jokic and watches the Nuggets brick open shots. Jokic needs the spacing to work his magic.

I agree, their spacing is super rough. And, I think Murray and Jokic both need to be willing to shoot from outside. Both seem tentative to me.

Seems like Dwight is trying to copy Morris vs Doncic. Trash talk, hard fouls and sneaky dirty plays.

Yeah, but the difference is that Morris was getting his ass kicked in basketball terms trying to guard Doncic. Howard actually IS making Jokic look pretty bad.
That high post possession looked pretty good. I would give up on Jokic scoring in the paint for a while.
Denver has to find a way to get the Lakers to extend their defense to the perimeter. The keep taking it right to where the defense is.
FINALLY! They created a mismatch!
The Nuggets also just aren't careful with the ball, in general. Very frustrating.
Only a 10 point deficit at the half, but I don't think Malone or the young Nuggets have any answers.

Lakers are just the far better team. Any losses to the Nugz that make this other than a sweep need to be considered unprofessional chokes.

Sure looks that way so far, pal.
I think Jokic is learning some valuable lessons right now.
One thing is clear: we are all missing out on a better series due to the Clippers being a dumpster fire.
This is the first time in this playoff run I've been grateful we have Porzingis instead of Jokic. I hate to be "that guy" but as skilled as he is (OMG is he good) I think Jokic is a little soft in some ways that KP is not.
LMAO McGee makes no attempt to stop a Murray layup.
Like that Lebron three there, for example. Bad shot, and it didn't go in, but he saw that there was nothing else worth doing, so he let it rip. If nothing else, it's now in the defense's mind that he's willing to do that at any moment.
Jokic and Murray both need to mix a little bit more of that in, in my opinion.
This is a bloodbath.
Judging by the lack of interactions, I'm the only one suffering through it.
Murray abuses McGee in the pick and roll, followed by a quick Vogel time out. I bet he's done for the night, unless there's a garbage time stretch.
