Wow, Thunder only down 3 at half on road to Jazz after only scoring 12 in first qtr and starting so awful bad. Adams 0 points and 3 fouls. But this team is fun to watch they are fast and lengthy. Scrappy. And we have some shooters. SGA is a gem. We likely lose but they are not as bad as I assumed. We won’t tank so will be interesting how season goes. Have a deeper bench too. This will be a true test if Billy as a coach, if he can make something out of this roster

4-18 shooting (1-6 threes) and team low -16 +/- for Kemba in a big opening loss.
I'm telling y'all, the Mavs dodged a massive bullet, if they ever actually really wanted him.

Andre Drummond 32pts, 23 rebs, 4 blks and 3 stls., in a win over the Pacers. It was the 33rd 20-20 game of his career.

We’re gonna lose but it went to the bitter end. Not bad for new roster on road vs a good playoff team. Adams was pretty bad tonight he always plays bad vs Utah. But wow SGA is gonna be a great player in this league. All things considered and who we lost this went way better than I expected. We are not tanking thats clear now. Have a pretty tough start to year but I can watch this and be ok if we miss playoffs. Lots of good youngsters to watch and get better.

Just watched the last 5 minutes of that game. Gallo is such a lethal shooter and CP3 is still good at basketball, plus SGA is a MONSTER!
Y'all really need Andre Roberson back. Mitchell couldn't be stopped and Roberson could've definitely done something about that.

I've had a mini crush on Drummond for the last 3 years. I just have a soft spot for the athletic big archetype who rebounds well.
Drummond here would make the Mavs LETHAL. I'm a little concerned because a lot of Piston fans criticize his effort on defense, but the guy is the best rebounder in the league and can score when given the chance.

I was just checking their box score and saw this. I'm not the biggest DSJ fan, but I'm baffled with 10 minutes. It kinda seems like Payton is their preferred option at pg. They gave 4 guys heavy minutes so not a lot of minutes to go around after that.

He's terrible. Lonzo Ball will have 10x the career.

Fizdale said he wants to play RJ at point guard. Which means not only does DSJ have to beat Elfrid Payton for minutes, but also the Knicks prize from the 2019 draft.
A little ironic that DSJ left here wanting a bigger role, and arguable went somewhere with even less of a role for him.

I’m afraid Robes is never gonna be right its almost 2 years (Dec).
Adams was 1-8FG and 1-6FT. If he played better we win. And he allowed some easy buckets late.
Then Billy left Schroder in game late which was like throwing white flag, strange. Maybe he wants to get fired lol.
SGA wow, he is fun to watch and can help me get over Russ gone. First game ever here without Russ. Really like Galinari he can shoot. CP looked very spry. Dialo had a great game too.
I’m ok with this roster. I am not ok with Billy tho and the sooner we cut cord better long term. I also suspect this is a bridge year and we will be worse next year because I think some of these players will be gone. Then have to draft and draft some more while at the bottom. So instead of full tank its a gradual tank. Still like having a team.
And timing is good can watch more Mavs who I think have a top 5 coach and good roster. I think Mavs are still a year and one more key player away but in the new “duo” era they could surprise people too.

Kings just got blown the heck out against the Suns
95-124.
Hield twisted his ankle as well right at the end of the game and Fox bumped knees. Kings were picked apart on offense.
Losing to the Suns opening night has got to hurt especially since the Kings wanted to turn the page.

I hope Robe is still the same player, but yeah 2 years is a LONG time. I feel for the guy. Hope he can make a recovery.
I still think you guys are going to be involved in a big midseason trade. Either as a facilitator in a 3-team trade or giving away Gallo/CP3 to someone. The best thing about your gradual tank is the treasure trove of assets Presti collected, add onto whatever yall get in a midseason trade.

I watched the Knicks the other day and Barret is their best PG by a wide margin.

I also watched Knicks preseason and all the talk was about the PG battle between DSJ, Payton and Nilikina.
Turns out they all lost lol
I'm not surprised at all about Barrett starting at PG. They'd actually be a pretty intriguing team in the east with Barrett + Porzingis

Anyone watching the Houston v Bucks game?
Was wondering if they have called any travels on Harden?
