Is Cade expected to be ready for the start of the playoffs?

Thanks. He'll be back by then. They technically get a bye waiting on the winner of the play-in series. He's already doing light scrimmage work, with no contact as of yet.

Lakers: We fear he has an oblique injury, can you do a scan to assess his availability.
Mavs: Everything looks fine.
Lakers: That looks like an imagine of a foot.
Mavs: Who are the medical experts here?
Lakers: Just saying why not use a scan of a healthy person, if you want to fake it.
Mavs: I told you we should have done that.
Lakers: Also that left foot has a broken bone.
Mavs: It´s a right foot, you morons. Who are the expets now.
Lakers: No, it´s a left foot.
Mavs: Dereck we need to talk.

Luka off to Europe for treatments not available in US. Hoping to turn 4-6 week absence into a 2-4 week absence. T

Early returns have a high incidence of re-injury though.

hey are looking at one of DEN, HOU or MIN as a possible 1st round opponent. I can't see them getting past any of those teams with just LBJ to lean on.

So this may be the last they see of Luka until October. Tough luck, but, FWIW, I'm glad he's not our problem now.

Bulls fire VP and GM.

University of North Carolina hires ex Nuggets HC Mike Malone as their HC.

I really thought Dariq Whitehead was a special talent, then he dropped like a stone due to injuries. He´s played 21 games in three years and now on the Grizzlies on a 10 day. Sad.

Also the Grizzlies are something else. Played their starters against a good team. Take a 12 point lead after 1st quarter and immediately pump on the brakes and give up 44 pts in the 2nd quarter. If there is such a thing as ethical tanking then we should get a top 3 pick. Outside of the Kings the rest are completely shameless. Luckily those Kings wins now give the Jazz an unexpected reason to continue their tank. Pretty sure they figured, they win the Pelicans and Grizzlies games, get to 23 wins and still finish 6th by themselves. Now the Kings have opened the door to split #5.

Grizzlies getting their PHD in Utah Jazz. Grizz make 29 threes last night and shoot 49% from three and still lose by 10 plus points. The upcoming Jazz vs Grizz game may be studied for years.

Bulls fans finally get some good news with their GM firing. Unfortunately they have a bad owner. Can you be a bad owner with 6 nba championships? I say yes and he fits the bill.

There were rumors their coach, Billy Donovan, may take the UNC opening. Surprisingly that went to Michael Malone. Calvin Booth is now a Duke fan. Malone has not coached in college and a surprise choice. He has a daughter at UNC though.

Interesting hire. You usually see college coaches jump to the pros, not the other way around. NC will have two former pro coaches in Belichick and Malone.

Grizzlies tie the NBA record for made 3's in a game with 29
and still lost by 16. Crazy.

No one does it better than the jazz. Up 8 to New Orleans without Zion, herb jones, or Trey Murphy. They come out in the third and give up 50 points and are doubled up.

You said it before I did. Ainge will not be outtanked, fines be damned.

With that in mind, Kidd needs to earn this. I don't think there's a way possible for the Mavs to lose all four of the next four games, but Kidd *must* find it.

And another 45 in the 4th. Truly impressive stuff.

Kon Knueppel is finally running out of gas. Flagg should run away with the ROY now and it won't even be close

Two things:
1) Turns out PJ/Gafford/Williams is a great street clothes combo for the Mavs' tank efforts.
2) Another hopeful sign for the games to come is that Chicago completely obliterated the Wizards tonight. Maybe it won't be so hard to tank against them. Especially if Coop gets a hangnail.

Weird lineup decision by NO, who literally played NONE of their usual starters. It would otherwise be "obvious tanking" except they don't have a pick.  Two were injured, and the other 3 were DNP-CD. I truly can't figure out a rational explanation.

It still will be close. Kon isn't all of a sudden not going to make 3's. But I agree, CF has probably put the odds back in his favor after these recent performances.  There will be other factors that decide the voting as well.
