Sengun is starting to be a problem.
Watched the game last night. He's a beast, a highly skilled beast.

Steph Curry rolled his ankle and left to the locker room.

Some NBA execs believe Klay Thompson is worth 20-25 million a year.

THJ makes $18 million AAV. Even at his worst, Klay percentages are much higher than Timmy’s.

Mavs missed the opportunity to trade THJ at the deadline. He had a solid season. Ranked top 3 in 6th man of the year odds.

Not sure what happened. Was he included in a potential trade that didn't happen and is salty about it? Honestly feels like he is just mailing it in right now. Even the hustle stuff isn't happening. Ranked 3rd (21) in the league in charges pre allstar. Not a single charge drawn post allstar.

I guess the idea that Philly could help Dallas out by beating New Orleans was too much to hope for.

I don't think they catch NO. It's possible if they falter, but they're on a little roll now.

Interesting point. I thought it was more mental because he slipped further down in the hierarchy after PJ was announced as our third scorer. But maybe he was indeed dangled in a deal - as an alternative to Williams for Kuzma maybe? - and is still depressed about it. Would also explain the purpose of the statements that we can imagine extending him and that we need him to win a championship.

OMG...if this is what is happening...it ruins THJ's reputation as being a professional/team guy which is sprayed across this board regularly.
Im an emotional person...so I dont hold it against Tim...but this screams either Mavs made a promise to the guy they didnt uphold or that Tim insists he is a starter/heavy minute player in this league and wont come off it.
Can we just be over the Tim Hardaway Jr era? Luka is a big boy...he doesnt need Tim's marginal spacing from bad shots that waste possessions. Tim wants to be a heavy minute player in this league with high volume spamming. Is that what you all want from Tim too?
I posed the question a few days ago if this might be something that has been going on for a while(Tim being bitter)...which could explain his on court chucking, which I believe is significantly worse than any other player in the league.

I don't think it's necessarily a feelings/emotional thing. It COULD be, but to me it seems more likely that he knows he needs to find a way to help the team in the new confines of the team dynamic and is just pressing a bit to make noticeable impact in a slightly lesser role.
It's quite understandable and human, imo, and doesn't need to reflect a character flaw (although it could).
I think the "we need him" statements are simply explained by the obvious fact that he's strong first 2/3 of this season contributed greatly to the idea that the Mavs were in the race. They actually DO need Hardaway playing well to have a strong end to this season. He IS their bench scoring. Tough to get more obvious than that.

Well...whatever it is, its reflecting a bball flaw.
Numbers guys are the only ones defending the guy. Nothing against you Killer, nothing against looking at numbers...but there seems to be a large swell that are over this guy and hate his brand of bball.
Mavs should move off this one, asap.

I am nowhere close to being a "numbers guy," which proves (again) that you're not here to pay attention.

I have paid attention.
Its all an elaborate lie to mask determinism.
hehe
But yeah...there is too much information for me to dissect. And(here is one for paying attention)...Im not dumb enough to waste a bunch of time trying to dissect something when there is a lot of missing information(what the exact game plan is by coaching staff and why, what is happening in practices, purpose for certain lineups, short term/long term goals of team).
I am basically only able to have an uneducated, layman's macro-view on the Mavericks. Eye-test, so to speak. Numbers/scheme guys like THJ...eye-test guys see the worst chucker in the league by a wide margin who kills offensive possession while never ever ever once thinking of passing a basketball or thinking of making the best bball play. But...I get the numbers side of it to an extent.
I was against PJ for impact/needle moving reasons...he never jumps off screen when I watched him in Charlotte. So I wasnt for serious assets to be used on him...while also more interested in Kuzma size and skill(without contract figures muddy the convo). But Mavs took a risk on a guy that has IDEAL size and IDEAL bball fundamentals even though his defensive numbers supposedly are trash. And guess what...it worked. Why? I postulate that it is because he has satisfactory bball fundamentals which this team has had a deficiency in. It seemed like this team was after scheme and numbers but what it really needed was fundamentally sound bball players like PJ. Like eye-test guys scream for.
Numbers matter, but so does bball fundamentals and making good decisions on the court.

You type truly insane things like this, that are pointed, untrue and unwelcome, and THIS is why you keep getting banned.
THEN, you go on with an even more insane word salad of pseudo logic that completely ignores the plain statement to which you're referring. Let me break it down to its most basic, since you seem not to understand what you're reading:
I'm not a numbers guy, I'm an eye-test guy. I don't agree with anything you think about a number of things, Hardaway included. Maybe you should try one of the following approaches:
1) just do some reading, without interacting, from time to time. There are dozens of really bright basketball fans here, but you seem determined not to learn anything. If that changes, you might find yourself able to add something of value in the future.
2) if throwing out half-cocked, pointless, childish tantrums about things you don't like is the only thing you can offer, might I suggest varying the subject a bit, at least? There are other things to discuss about the Mavericks. It's not all about Hardaway.
Type ONE MORE CRAZY THING. I dare you.
