We don't think DFS is an average NBA player???

I think DFS is worth in the 8-9 million per year. 12 million is too much imo.

Speaking of extensions, do you think some of the quality free agents left and some of the bargain signings hurt Jalen moving forward. I really have no idea what to pay Jalen but would a contract ranging in 5-8m be way too low at this point?

I think anything below the full MLE is just wishful thinking. Mavs just gave Bullock a full MLE contract. Why shouldn´t DFS demand the same.

I think the Bullock contract is the clear benchmark. They are both 3&D small forwards. Bullock appears to be a better shooter, I have no idea who is the better defender. Based on that, I think anything more than ~$10M/year is indeed the Mavs bidding against themselves.

Should point out the Raptors just waived Baynes, so they're quite thin at center now. It's not like Powell wouldn't play for them.

Have to account for things like health and age. DFS would be nearly two years younger and has been as healthy and durable as it gets. Cannot say the same about Bullock. 20/21 was his furst fully healthy season in the last five years.

I am not super high on DFS defense and cannot really say anything about Bullock because I haven´t watched enough games. Right now the easy answer would be. DFS is the better rebounder. Bullock the better shooter.

Bullock the better shooter. It was an honest question. I'm super high on DFS and I think Bullock's contract is fine for him, but that's about the most I'd be comfortable with.

DFS is worth full MLE or more. He’s made a legitimate impact on a playoff caliber team as a starter, and he’s learned to really shoot the 3 since his last contract.
Thank you Donnie.
