Worse. Donations are directly tied to US actions in the Israel-Gaza conflict. Lets just say that the Adelsons aren't supporting a peaceful solution or negotations.

I guess that's a specific example related to the answer to the question "why would the supper rich support someone who is openly running against principles of democracy?" Maybe the answer is that they value having influence over leaders more than they value democracy. They actually want an oligarchy.
