Sorry Dirk, that song is so ingrained to me with Seinfeld that I can't not see Kramer, George, Elaine, and Jerry when hearing that song.
There will never be another player I will ever see play and get as much enjoyment as watching Dirk play.
If Silver was smart, he should bring back the old timers game and have Dirk, Duncan, Garnett, Allen, play for a quarter or two..... because you know they would have more fun with that game than anything that goes in the sh*tty all star game they play nowadays.

The Athletic is doing a top 75 ranking. Dirk came in at 21. Steve Nash at 38. Jason Kidd at 36. Charles Barkley at 22.
I am surprised Kevin Garnett has not been ranked yet so he is above Dirk. That sounds pretty crazy. KP is a great player, but he only one his title with 2-3 other great players. I was expecting Karl Malone was going to be ranked over Dirk, but a strong case can be made that Dirk was the better player. David Robinson also not ranked yet.

I will die on the hill that Dirk was better than Garnett and its not even close. Unfortunate the writers doing the ranking don't see it that way.

After unsuccessfully trying to find it on my own I'm now taking a chance on swarm intelligence:
I'm looking for a video of an Nash-assisted Dirk Alley-Oop, but can only find the Curry-assisted one in the ASG. Yet I'm pretty sure the two connected on one, as I still remember such thing from a show I was watching growing up in Germany called "Inside NBA".
Does anyone at least remember this one too or heck, even has a link to that footage?

He probably understands now that he was a fool to prioritize basketball over everything else back then, and may be has to deal with a sore body now because of it.
But tbh - wouldn't most of us have the same trouble to stop doing what you do bet because it's "reasonable"?

Not sure KD deserves to be placed so high. IMO he should be behind Dirk too. That would make Dirk the #1 PF ever. Also, not sure Olajuwon should be in that group. I think he is in the Robertson/Bird/Duncan range (not a huge step up, but if you take them in groups like that). IMO he is for sure ahead of Kobe and Shaq…and esp KD!
