RE: TRADE & FA: Mavs interested in Nerlens? Collins? Bojan? The Rui trade indicates to me they are likely to move Russ+ picks package to get players they want now.I think they go a different direction. They will trade Lebron this summer for a haul. Why would Lebron stay there? I’m sure they’ve already got it worked out behind the scenes RE: TRADE & FA: Mavs interested in Nerlens? Collins? Bojan? D'Angelo? | TDL Feb 9 - Chicagojk - 01-29-2023 What about Josh Primo? Is he untouchable? To be honest I would be perfectly fine with some exposing themselves to our front office at times. RE: TRADE & FA: Mavs interested in Nerlens? Collins? Bojan? D'Angelo? | TDL Feb 9 - ItsGoTime - 01-29-2023 Any trade that brings Bogdanovich’s old ass for a FRP is a nonstarter. It can’t be the only move but this team has to balance the interests of Luka and his desire to contend/win now. Bogdanovic is a quality starter in a playoff series and if balanced with other moves that keep long term team building in mind, giving a 1st is something I would consider. Again, it can’t be the only move you make. RE: TRADE & FA: Mavs interested in Nerlens? Collins? Bojan? I agree that Quickley is the better player and the better fit. But in a negotiation you don’t just bend over and take it. You make points to support your view of value. I'm not saying what our starting position should be, I am saying that if the end result is that send Bullock and two seconds for Quickley we will have fleeced NY. Bojan is a more consistent 3 pt shooter than anyone else on your team, with the possible exception of Dinwiddie (although we'll see if Dinwiddie's is sustainable) who's shooting 41.2 % from 3. Luka is shooting 35.1 % from 3. Bojan is shooting 42% from 3. Besides, he has signed an extension, so you don't have to worry about him walking away at the end of the season. But if Detroit doesn't get a 1st, he isn't going anyway so I'm hearing. RE: TRADE & FA: Mavs interested in Nerlens? Collins? Bojan? D'Angelo? | TDL Feb 9 - mvossman - 01-29-2023 (01-28-2023, 12:15 AM)Kammrath Wrote: Yeah. In this market, yeah. The guy averaged 39.3 minutes per game as a starter in a run to the Western Conference Finals last year while shooting 40% from three. If you could turn a 1st round pick into that kind of player, you do it. If there is any chance you could net a first for Bulluck, you have to pull that trigger immediately. I would be shocked if that was an option. At 30 nobody thought he was worth more than the MLE and I doubt the Mavs had a lot of competition to get him. I don't remember a single person on this board suggesting him as an MLE target. He had a nice late season and playoff run last year, but he has been nowhere near consistent enough in his career for teems to count on him repeating that performance. Any value he may have accrued for that run has been marred by playing himself out of the starting lineup this year. RE: TRADE & FA: Mavs interested in Nerlens? Collins? Bojan? I have mixed thoughts regarding the Bogi trade, but the Hardy for Quickley idea is interesting. I think I would pull that trigger. I have little interest in Reddish so I would prefer something like Frank + Hardy for Quickley, but I think I would do yours as well. I also like the Wood trade if we don't think we can extend Wood. This board would have been ecstatic if you said you could convert their meager offseason assets into Collins. But he is making a lot of money for a long time and I'm skeptical that Cuban would be willing to pull that trigger. RE: TRADE & FA: Mavs interested in Nerlens? Collins? Bojan? D'Angelo? | TDL Feb 9 - sefant - 01-29-2023 The other angle would be to take on Fournier, who might work better on the Mavs. He got 2 years left. And 3rd a team option. Tho pretty much the Tim contract. If Tim goes in a different type of deal. If Knicks still want to dump Fournier, and you get paid with IQ. This was the rumor in Dec, before IQ kinda flourished for the Knicks. Where you might get IQ done without a 1st or Hardy/Green. With one or two 2nd round picks + taking on Fournier. https://twitter.com/thenbacentral/status/1600509938991857666 RE: TRADE & FA: Mavs interested in Nerlens? Collins? Bojan? D'Angelo? | TDL Feb 9 - HAguiar95 - 01-29-2023 Too much of a pipedream? DAL in: Collins, Anunoby, Bogdanovic. DAL out: Hardaway, Wood, Finney-Smith, Bullock, '24 DAL 1st swap rights, '25 1st (unprotected), '27 DAL 1st (unprotected). BKN in: Wood, Bullock. BKN out: Harris, Thomas, '23 BKN 1st. ATL in: Finney-Smith, Hardaway, Boucher. ATL out: Collins, Bogdanovic, J. Holiday. TOR in: Harris, Thomas, J. Holiday, '23 BKN 1st, '24 DAL 1st swap rights, '25 1st (unprotected), '27 DAL 1st (unprotected). TOR out: Anunoby, Boucher. Doncic/Dinwiddie Bogdanovic Anunoby/Green Collins/ Powell/Kleber TOR gets a "Murray" package for O.G.; ATL gets a starter and rotation players with good salary/control for Collins/Bogdanovic (they may bark at the THJ/Bogi swap, but I'd insist); BKN bolster their frontline and get a "3&D" wing for their depth. DAL gets two young starters to pair with Luka for the foreseable future. Still leaves expiring/Hardy/1st to upgrade the SG or the C position. RE: TRADE & FA: Mavs interested in Nerlens? Collins? It makes a lot of sense for everyone, but I'm not sure Atlanta goes for it and I have no clue if the trades are legal, but well thought out and a worthy all in move imo. Mavs would probably have to include Green and or Hardy to make this work, but the incoming talent is probably worth it. If you throw both of them in, I think the trade could definitely be worked out. You have to hope Collins regains form and Anunoby has another level he can reach. Both are very possible. RE: TRADE & FA: Mavs interested in Nerlens? Collins? Bojan? Much more so than here, imo. RE: TRADE & FA: Mavs interested in Nerlens? Collins? Bojan? D'Angelo? | TDL Feb 9 - dynamicalVoid - 01-29-2023 Giving up too much for Collins and OG, imo. Still have Dwight at Center lol. Remember him getting played off court in Playoffs? I pass on that trade...even if it gets us new players and saves money. And youre talking about possibly throwing in Green or Hardy too. RE: TRADE & FA: Mavs interested in Nerlens? Collins? Bojan?
