RE: Why can’t Spencer Dinwiddie be a superstar franchise player? - Mavsfan12 - 03-04-2022 One thing that I am pretty excited about with him that I think will continue in his game is a very nice assist/turnover ratio. He has had the ball in his hands a ton, on a new team, making a lot of passes and driving through traffic, and has turned the ball over less than 1 time per game. That is blowing me away. I am impressed with how he cares for the ball. Even Uncle Rick would smile at that. I suspect it's much longer than we imagine. I suspect the idea has been rolling around in 2-3 people's heads at the top for perhaps as much as a year. I suspect that Nico presented that as one of his major "moves" as a general manager when he was interviewed RE: Why can’t Spencer Dinwiddie be a superstar franchise player? - ThisIStheYear - 03-04-2022 Maybe SD is just 14 months past a major injury that takes 12 months to recover from and the Mavs were smart enough to know the timing was right to buy low. |
