Barea was the biggest surprise to me in that scrimmage. He looked perfectly normal out there.

The quickest machine of JJ is not his body but his mind - he can read and react with the best of them.

That being said, it was great to see him moving fluidly again.

Everybody has been telling me to be more aggressive,” Wright said following his 9 point, 7 rebound and 3 assist performance on Monday night. “I was just trying to get a feel for everybody, but they said don’t do that. Just be more aggressive and (don’t be afraid to) make mistakes.”

It was difficult because I was just trying to test out my leg and see how far I could take it.”

Just as I was hoping, he was just trying to be a good teammate and figure out how to fit in. I LOVED what I saw from him last night.

Last night was a glimpse into how special this team could be and that was even with some poor shooting and some players not playing and others not playing well. There is a TON of reason to be excited about this season while also remembering the Mavs will lay some eggs this season as well.

Expected. Decent guys, but none good enough to compete with anyone on guaranteed contracts.

Reeves on the other hand showed he has potential. A bit raw offensively, but excellent defender. Certainly much more developed than Roby at this point. They should consider signing him long term in a Barea or Broekhoff spot next season. A contract of Roby level, of course.

I like the new addition! A Chad, who has potential to be the 15th man? Nice!  Big Grin

He's like Super DFS. Start shooting 3s (in practice) pal

Just a quick question, but is our players height officially listed (under new rules) ?

RE: TRAINING CAMP: October 1 - 22 (Mavs sign Chad Brown) - dcon - 10-18-2019

Just based on one highlight clip, Chad Brown looks like a Montrez Harrell version of a 3/4.  I like it.

RE: TRAINING CAMP: October 1 - 22 (Mavs sign Chad Brown) - Reunion Mav Old - 10-19-2019

Another big who is athletic, skilled to some degree (TBD), young and well priced. I like it. Another Mav with a great opportunity to elevate their status. We have a whole team full of them and I like that too. I fully expect some of our guys to move way up the league totem pole but I also expect to perhaps be surprised which guy do so.

Well Dwain, I have seen much room for improvement for both of them but I do really like much of what I am seeing from Luka and KP. Both a clearly trying to step up and compete with the top players around the league and I love that. They will need to do so while being smart about not playing hero ball.
