Lots of friendly post incident texting as well.  As always, hard to know the truth in a he said she said.  I agree the Mavs seem to be above board with the handling but just don't agree with "Sarah".

You know if Cuban says it that way, right or wrong, he gets killed.  Good for Cynt Marshall to defend herself and the organization.

"Sarah" is replying to the Mavs "smear" via twitter.  Some reply tweets are directly to Townsend.  Who knows if it is real at this point.

RE: 2019-20 Mavs News - khaled1987 - 07-29-2020

Other than some publicity problems, I doubt Mavs are in trouble here.
I think the alleged incident should have been handled by the police as the front office suggested, it happens between a Mavs employee in his own time and not during his work with Mavs office.

For the Mavs, the only reason to make an investigation is to fire the guy because we don't want sexual predators associated with us. There is zero reason to pay her when we aren't at fault. Actually I would have felt more disgusted by the organization if they accepted to pay someone to hush her and keep him.

So, if we are seeking the truth, we should not be in any way or shape sign that NDA that might be used against us to get money (from my understanding, I am from another country and this legal stuff is mind blowing to me) and she should have handed us a copy, or at least request the involvement of the NBA during handling the records.

I don´t really know if this is good or bad. More or less showcases the Mavs lack of wing defenders.

Yeah, you're right, it's a sign that we need another wing defender that can take some of that load. But kuddos to DFS for what he does.

I heard someone say that SI released a statment after the Mavs released their statement. But I can't find anything on that. Have you guys seen a subsequent statement by SI?

So we went for THJ and the hapless Knicks threw in KP.

lololololololololol

So we should inquire about Bertans and end up with he and Beal.

"On Friday night, Knicks fans were forced to look away from their TVs, as Kristaps Porzingis (39 points), Trey Burke (31 points), and Tim Hardaway Jr. (24 points), combined to score 94 points in a defenseless game against the Houston Rockets in Orlando’s bubble."

RE: 2019-20 Mavs News - Hypermav - 08-03-2020

https://theathletic.com/1971074/2020/08/03/heres-why-the-mavericks-have-started-0-2-in-the-bubble-and-why-its-ok/

6. I’ve barely written about the players thus far because their sample sizes are even smaller than the 101 minutes the team overall has played. We know who most of them are. Here are snap judgments for each one.

Luka Doncic: A freakin’ superstar who should probably take fewer 3s.

Kristaps Porzingis: A freakin’ star who should probably take more 3s. Also, this is the most athletic he’s ever looked.

Tim Hardaway Jr. and Seth Curry: So much of the team’s success since 2020 started came from Hardaway and Curry turning into reliable, consistent third options. That the two have combined to average just 18 points on 13-of-39 shooting is a huge reason for the two losses thus far. But you just continue riding with them and expect it to turn around. I’m sure it will.

Dorian Finney-Smith: It’s important that Finney-Smith attacks closeouts. He’s been unlucky – and maybe trying to do a little too much at times, too.

Maxi Kleber: Even though his pick-and-roll numbers are statistically great, you can very clearly see he doesn’t have the same effect as a Dwight Powell or even Willie Cauley-Stein.

Trey Burke: He’s going to play some in the postseason.

J.J. Barea: Is he going to play in the postseason?

Delon Wright: I tried being optimistic. He makes some good basketball plays. Those plays still feel disconnected from the offense at large.

Boban Marjanovic: He makes an oversized impact every time he’s in the game, but I’m hesitant to assume he would do that for 20 minutes every night no matter how good he looks when on the court for five minutes or so.
I have nothing of note to say for Justin Jackson or Antonius Cleveland, really. I’m hardly surprised we haven’t seen Michael Kidd-Gilchrist.

7. No matter how mad you are at the team’s late-game offense, it’s nice to have basketball back, isn’t it? As I said earlier, this team’s only going to make progress by continuing to move forwards. These types of games aren’t fun – but they are inevitable, and they will get better.
